A Message of Hope

Some people understand life better and they call some of these people retarded”…

At the Seattle Special Olympics, nine contestants, all physically or mentally disabled, assembled at the
starting line for the 100-yard dash.

At the gun, they all started out, not exactly in a dash, but with a relish to run the race to the finish and
win.

All, that is, except one little boy who stumbled on the asphalt, tumbled over a couple of times, and
began to cry. The other eight heard the boy cry.

They slowed down and looked back. Then they all turned around and went back…… every one of them.

One girl with Down’s Syndrome bent down and kissed him and said,” This will make it better.”

Then all nine linked arms and walked together to the finish line. Everyone in the stadium stood, the
cheering went on for several minutes.

People who were there are still telling the story… Why? Because deep down we know this one thing:

What matters in this life is more than winning for ourselves.

What matters in this life is helping others win, even if it means slowing down and changing our course.

remember: “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle”

Read Each One Carefully and Think About It a Second or Two

No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won’t make you cry.
Just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to, doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.
A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can’t have them.
Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
Don’t waste your time on a man/woman, who isn’t willing to waste their time on you.
Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know
how to be grateful.
Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened.
There’s always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you
trust next time around.
Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.
Don’t try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.

REMEMBER: WHATEVER HAPPENS, HAPPENS FOR A REASON.

  1. Good messages to read. I especially like “Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.”
